French Flair at Foodbarn
Fine dining meets French Fusion at this Noordhoek restaurant, where Franck Dangeroux is holding court over Christmas.
On Christmas Day you can choose from 4 dishes in each course for the perfect combination of starter, fish, mains and dessert. You’ll also get to enjoy amuse-bouche, a palate cleanser and coffee or tea. If you can’t make it on Christmas Day, you can celebrate in the same style on Christmas Eve.
Kiddies are catered for with a Christmas menu just for them.
Lunch or Dinner at Radisson Blu Hotel and Residence
Head for this swish establishment in the heart of the inner city for an uber-cool Christmas Eve dinner or lunch on Christmas Day. A fine and fancy dinner is on the cards for Christmas Eve with a 5-course meal.
Lunch the next day is a little more laid back and served buffet style. You can look forward to a spread of salads, carvery, seafood, antipasto and classic Christmas dishes.

Keeping it Simple at Beerhouse
If dressing up is too much of a drag on Christmas, head for a laid-back lunch at Beerhouse on Long Street. This simple feast consists of smoked beef and gammon, veggies, potatoes, malva pudding and ice cream as well as plenty of beer on tap.
It’s a steal at R150/pp too. Book early for a beery merry Christmas.
Braai-Time in Grabouw
If you simply must braai for Christmas or want to start the celebrations early, head out to Grabouw for a gourmet grill at Old Mac Daddy. Here you’ll find a spit braai on the go on 23 December with Greek-style lamb chops, rosemary baby potatoes, malva pudding and more thrown into the fray.
Vegans and vegetarians are catered for and there are plenty of drink specials to go around.
